Rita and Karen both realized their passion for design at a young age.  As a young girl, Rita found herself pouring through design magazines and constantly rearranging her bedroom.  Being a contractors daughter, Karen found herself intrigued by architecture and the “bones of the home.”

They both had a background in the business of design, so when they met at design school years later, they discovered they had much in common, not only in business, but also in their personal lives. Being married the same number of years with children at the same stages, they shared similar family values.

After completing design school, they each worked in multiple aspects in the industry, gaining valuable knowledge. A few years later, they decided to combine their talents, formed a partnership and The Design Guild was launched.

Their business today is a reflection of their childhood beginnings. They now create their own photos for homes and give their clients a true sense of “coming home.” They do it all while having fun and living with passion.
